Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday January 09, 2012 at Salem Lutheran Church, 1724 15th St., Moline, Ill.
Interment: Monday January 09, 2012 at National Cemetery, Rock Island, Ill.

Nancy S. Wiklund, 77, a resident of Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island, formerly of Moline, died Thursday, January 05, 2012 at the center.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Salem Lutheran Church, Moline. Burial is at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is to 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church Renovation Fund or to Beacon of Hope Hospice.

Nancy Walther was born on June 8, 1934 in Moline, a daughter of Edward R. and Edith V. Swensen Walther. She married Robert A. Wiklund on May 22, 1954 in Salem Lutheran Church, Moline. He died on August 4, 2010.

Nancy graduated from Moline High school in 1952. She previously worked at the John Deere Junior High School cafeteria and the 16th Street Hardees, Moline. Nancy was a long time member of Salem Lutheran Church, Moline, where she was a former member of the choir and W.E.L.C.A.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Scott Titterington, Taylor Ridge; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin R. and Shirley Wiklund, Rockford; grandchildren (and spouses), Heather (Tony) Roelens, Silvis, Matthew (Brittany) Cervantes, Capron, Ill., Kevin N. Wiklund, Fairbanks, Alaska and Andrew Wiklund, Edwardsville, Ill.; a great grandson, Brayden Cervantes, Capron, and two new great grandchildren expected later this year; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Karna Walther, Scottsdale, Az.; sister and brother-in-law, Janis and David Roseen, Woodbury, Minn.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
