Ronald D. Maranda, 70, of Milan, died Thursday, January 05, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Continuing Care Center, Rock Island.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will follow the service until 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Continuing Care Center.

Ron was born on Aug. 26, 1941 in Aurora, Ill., a son of Donald and Agnes Kirchman Maranda.

He retired from the Eagle Warehouse, Milan, where he worked for over 30 years.

Ron was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Milan and the Rock Island Eagles and Rock Island Moose.

Survivors include his children, Ronnie (Michelle) Maranda, Milan, Cyndy Maranda, Rock Island and Doug Maranda, Chicago; grandchildren, Jake and Ellie Maranda, Milan; sister, Barbara Lesner, Moline; and brothers, Ed Maranda and Ken Maranda, both of Milan. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Don and Cliff.
