| Marian Timm, 91, of Milan, died Monday, January 09, 2012 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf. Services for Mrs. Timm will be 10 am Saturday at South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 6pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Shelter, Milan. Marian was born on April 22, 1920 in rural Mercer County, a daughter of Palmer Luttrell and Hazel (Barney) Luttrell. Marian was in the first class that graduated from Rock Island High School in 1939. She married Thomas C. Timm on February 11, 1944. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1993. Marian worked as the Head Switchboard Operator at the former Iowa-Illinois Gas & Electric Company for over 30 years. Mrs. Timm was a member of South Park Presbyterian Church. She was also active in the tutoring program at the church for school children. Marian was also a volunteer at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. She was a member of various card clubs and enjoyed playing BINGO. Survivors include her children, Thomas S. (Debbie) Timm, Knoxville, Tennessee, Vicki (Pete) Mustacchio, Denver, Colorado, Patti (Victor) Hawkins, Milan; grandchildren, Kristen, Heather, Eric, Megan, Matt, Dustin, Brooke and Carly; great grandchildren, Bryce, Faith, Chancellor, Tanner, Jenna, Lexus, Brycen, Kesley and Mallory. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; brother, William “Bill” Luttrell; and a sister, Ruby Armstrong. Tom, Vicki, and Patty -- Mom and I are so very sorry about your Mom's passing. Mom said Marian was her very first customer at McCabe's Beauty Salon. Our parents had many good times together especially when they were camping at Hidden Lake. I remember "Mern Fern" talking, laughing and always smiling.
