Sparta, New Jersey

Funeral Service: 11:00am Thursday February 02, 2012 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline
Interment: , at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock island

William Daniel Penix departed this life on January 26, 2012 in Boston, MA, after a life long struggle with Heterotaxy Syndrome. William was born January 14, 2011 in New York, NY, to Bradley and Anne Penix of Sparta, NJ. His family gives thanks for the gift of his life; for his year and twelve days with them-all of which, except for a precious three weeks at home, were lived at the Childrens Hospitals of New York and Boston; for the care of many doctors and nurses who made this time possible; for his valiant fight and cheerful disposition; and for the grace of Holy Baptism, by which we are assured that, though he will not return to us, we will go to him. The family thanks all those who prayed for William, and looks forward to those prayers being answered finally in Christ Jesus, in the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting.

William is survived by his parents, Anne and Bradley Penix; his grandparents, Gary and Marcia Penix, Jonesville, MI, Jerry and Jan Tutskey, Rock Island; aunts and uncles, Douglas and Christine Marsh, Battle Creek, MI, John and Heidi Sias, Colstrip, MT; and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Sias.

The funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, with the Rev. Dr. Wilfred Karsten officiating and the Rev. Dr. John Sias preaching. Interment will follow at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. The family request memorials to the Heterotaxy Network, 1331 Kings Ridge Blvd, Wadsworth, OH 44281 or http://heterotaxysyndrome.org/.
