Alma Moeller, 92, of Rock Island, IL, died Friday, February 17, 2012 at Silver Cross Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rock Island.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3300 – 24th St., Rock Island, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Island.

Arrangements are entrusted to Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 – 7th Ave., Rock Island. Memorials may be made in care of Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the family.

Alma was born on June 28, 1919 in Parkston, South Dakota, a daughter of Gustav and Christine Gress Boettcher. She married Reno C. Moeller on December 25, 1947 in South Dakota. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1978.

Alma was a homemaker. Prior to her marriage, she worked at the Yankton Hospital, Yankton, SD, for 13 years.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Island. She was a talented seamstress, and loved gardening and flower gardening.

She is survived by her children (and spouses), Daryl (Deborah) Moeller, Sherrard, IL, and Sandra (Charles) Schmacht, Rock Island; grandchildren, Andrew, Amy, Jeremy, Erica, Jayson, Jesse, and Kristopher; great-grandchildren, Ella, Emily, and Brady; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Alma is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dwight Moeller, three brothers, and four sisters.
