| Marsha J. Treftz, 61, of Rock Island, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Continuing Care Center, Rock Island. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Quad City Paws. Marsha was born on Feb. 17, 1951 in Davenport, a daughter of Kenneth and Grace Erwin Treftz. She had worked for Maids of the Quad Cities. Marsha was a member of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. She enjoyed her cats and beloved dog “Susie”. Survivors include her sisters and brothers, Marie Alvine, Rock Island, Arthur Treftz, of Missouri, Debbie Elliott, Rock Island, Mary Shaw, Le Claire, and Frank Treftz, Davenport; several nieces and nephews; a great niece; and a great nephew. Marsha will be missed she was a Lady of courage i looked up to her and admired her fr her strength She always had a smile was upbeat My grandson thought she was a neat lady... she was very kind to people and animals....rest in peace never to hurt again hugs
