A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday March 27, 2012 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.

Edwin was born on July 8, 1943 in Davenport, the son of Edwin and Julia (Priebe) Vaughn Sr. He married Charlotte Wright on July 23, 1977 in Moline.

Mr. Vaughn had been employed at several construction companies in Illinois and Florida as a carpenter.

He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed reading.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; children and spouses, Maurie Vaughn, Lady Lake, FL, Stuart (Annise) Vaughn, New Windsor, Todd (Tammy) Vaughn, Moline, James (Jennifer) Vaughn, Andover, Stephanie Bates, Burlington, IA, David (Noree) Phipps; grandchildren, Nikky Tapley, Devin (Callie) Vaughn, Jessica Brown, Beth Vaughn, Justin Brown, Tonya Vaughn, Chaddam Phipps, Samantha Phipps, Daniel Phipps; great grandchildren, Cainin and Riley Tapley, Dane Vaughn;

brothers, Robert (Carol) Vaughn, Leesburg, FL, David (Lois) Vaughn, Hartsburg, SC, William (Terry) Vaughn, Cedar Springs, IL; mother in law, Ann Wright, New Windsor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, great granddaughter, Jaiden Tapley and his father in law, Richard Wright.
