Funeral Service: 5:00 p.m. Sunday May 20, 2012 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, Ill.
Damian S. Cassini, 37, of Moline, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

Services will be 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation is 2 p.m. until service time Sunday. Memorials may be given to a fund for his children’s education.

He will be dearly missed as a philosopher, a poet, a music buff, a theater lover, and a Cubs fan. No one will forget that he was the king of useless information and random trivia; and that he had the most brilliantly dry but witty sense of humor. More importantly, he will be forever missed as a caring, compassionate man devoted to the well being of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Cheyenne; children, Seth, Nolan, Lila and Jude; his parents, Rick and Sherri Cassini, Rock Island; brother, Andrew (Cortney) Cassini, Moline; sisters, Nisa Cassini (Keith Simpson), Davenport, and Angela (Jon) Kelley, Rock Island; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
