Interment will be at Beulah Cemetery, Orion, IL. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Beulah Presbyterian Church, 9221 – 148th Ave., Orion, IL 61273. Dorothy Irene Jinks was born in Viola, IL, on November 7, 1914, a daughter of Clarence and Barbara Smith Jinks. She was married to Herbert Wright until his death on April 1, 1963. Then in March 1968, she married Henry Prahl who preceded her in death in March of 1994. Dorothy was a member and employed at Royal Neighbors of America, from which she retired after 16 years of service. She also was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church, Orion, and a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Milan Chapter No. 326. Dorothy spent 32 winters in Texas at her home in Harlingen, TX. For many years she enjoyed travelling to Canada, Mexico and 38 states. Her independent nature at the age of seven was still evident at the age of 97. Dorothy’s family and friends are richly blessed with many memories that warm their hearts. Survivors include her children (and spouses), Barbara Walton, Rock Island, William (Cheryl) Wright, Glenwood Springs, CO, Richard (Delanora) Wright, Harlingen, TX, and Janice (Van) Baugh, Kennewick, WA; her stepsons, Ronald and Michael Prahl and their families, all of Iowa; her six grandchildren, David Wright, Greg Wright, Jeff Wright, Tom Wright, Sue Ann Melone, and Jaeger Hahn; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lewis Jinks, New Boston. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Herbert and Henry; sister, Grace Brown; brother, Wilbur Jinks; grandson, Steven Wright; and son-in-law, Robert Walton. The family wishes to extend a very special Thank You to Dorothy’s “Resident Angels”, Penne Vroman, Phyllis Hiner, Elaine Dusenberry, Bonnie Simpson, and Diane Burr. They have been so generous with their love and kindness.

We were truly blessed to have had Dorothy as a part of our family celebrations. We loved the stories and laughter that was shared around the table. Blake loved to make her Easter gifts and cards! We will treasure the memories! Our love and sympathy to Barbara and the entire family. We loved her very much and will keep her in our hearts always as our stories continue! Hugs from our family to yours!
