Visitation: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday November 05, 2012 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, Ill.
Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday November 05, 2012 at National Cemetery, Rock Island, Ill.
Chad J. Stowell, 42, of Milan, died Thursday, November 1, 2012.

Visitation is 11 am to 1 pm Monday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be followed by graveside services at 2:00 p.m. at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Those wishing to attend the services should meet at the funeral home by 1:30 to follow to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.

Chad was born July 6, 1970 in Moline, a son of Brad and Cheryl Hicks Stowell. He married Jill C. Maltsburger on May 17, 2011 in Rock Island.

He was service manager of the tire and express lube department of the Wal-Mart Store at Elmore Avenue, Davenport.

Chad was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Survivors include his wife, Jill; daughter, Briahna Stowell, Bettendorf; stepdaughters, Madalyn, Natalie, and Georgia Shaw, all of Taylor Ridge; mother and stepfather, Sheri and Earl Fangmeier, Shafer, Minn.; father and stepmother, Brad and Lonnie Stowell, St. Croix Falls, Wis.; sisters, Misti Stowell, Anchorage, Alaska, Ami Stowell (Joe Cudd), Soldotna, Alaska, and Taylor Stowell, St. Croix Falls; and many other loving family members and friends.

We are still in shock about the news of him. He was not just a co-worker but a friend to all who worked with him. He will be missed dearly and tle will not be the same with out him. We will be keeping you in our prayers.

I prayed so hard for Chad and for his safe return. I even posted his beautiful face on Facebook. Turns out, he is safe in the arms of Jesus. I don't know you at all but, we are all related and I feel like I lost a loved one. My heart aches knowing that he is no longer with us.
