Interment: January 23, 2013 at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island

Charles Henry Robinson, 75, of Monmouth, IL, died Friday January 18, 2013 at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

Services are 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, IL, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

Henry was born October 31, 1937 in Jacksonville, IL, a son of Henry L. and Audry E. Bratsch Robinson. He married Mary E. Allen on November 22, 1973 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on May 8, 1995.

Henry was an inspector for many years with Titan Wheel. He enjoyed fishing, antique vehicles, and watching old westerns. He loved being with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his children, Christine Hartley-Jones, Milan, Charlotte Ross, Milan, Robert Henry Robinson, Tennessee, James Strauss, Milan, Tina Robinson, Moline, Nyoka Robinson, Moline, Melinda Mae Robinson, East Moline, and Elizabeth Powell, Missouri; numerous grandchildren including, John Strauss, Crystal Groyon, Drake Strauss, Lawrence Strauss, James Strauss, Jr., Thomas Leroy Strauss Groyon; one brother, Dallas Robinson, Florida; one sister, Charlotte Cross, Mississippi; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, Pamela Strauss, one son, Edward Strauss, and one brother, David “Pete” Robinson.
