|James “Jamie” Gustafson, 67, of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Moline, IL, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident.|
Services will be held at 10 am Monday, Feb. 18 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home in Rock Island, IL. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Jamie was born Oct. 2, 1945 to Laura “Betty” Reuter. He graduated from Moline High School. Jamie married Trudy McMillan in 1967. He later married Brenda Richardson, and is currently married to Terry Jackson.
Jamie was a retired member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #91 in Rock Island and Local #88 in Las Vegas, NV. Jamie was a prior owner of Webb’s Welding in Moline, IL.
Jamie enjoyed spending the weekends on the river with his children when they were younger. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast his entire life. He was very active in the Harley-Davidson community as a Safety Officer, Head Road Captain and a H.O.G. Life Member. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Iowa City, IA.
Survivors include his wife, Terry Jackson (NM), daughter Jeni Gustafson (Matt Meyers) of Iowa City, son Andy (Jaime) Gustafson of Rock Island, step-daughter Samantha (Jeff) Richardson (KY); grandchildren Kristin Myers, Zach Bennett, Corbin Gustafson, Sydney Meyers &Elizabeth Courtemanche; brother’s Kurt “Skip” Gustafson (WI) & David (IL); and his beloved dog Hawley. Jamie was preceded in death by his parents.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Jamie Gustafson. He will be fondly remembered as an aspiring dancer, motorcycle rider mentor, and one who always had a smile to share.
