Interment: Monday, April 15, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island, IL

Donald E. Lawson, 74, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday April 11, 2013 at Trinity, Rock Island.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to St. Paulís Lutheran Church, Moline.

Donald was born on September 21, 1938 in Rock Island, a son of Fredrick and Elsie Lawson. He married Marguerita L. Selle on October 31, 1970 in Moline.

Prior to his retirement in 1995, Donald was a custodian for the Rock Island School District for 32 years. He was a member of St. Paulís Lutheran Church, Moline.

Donald enjoyed bowling and baseball. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Surviving are his wife, Marguerita, of Rock Island; one son, Stanley Lawson, Rock Island; and several cousins.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Fredrick Lawson.
