As of April 12, 2021, FEMA is offering COVID-19 Funeral Assistance to families of individuals who died of coronavirus in the U.S. The cause of death must be COVID-19 related, and other requirements must be met. Applications are being taken by phone, with supporting papers being required, including an official death certificate, funeral expense invoices and proof of other financial assistance received.
