Anthony "Bo" J. Jones

Anthony “Bo” Jones, 58, of Matherville, Ill., formerly of Rock Island, passed away September 29, 2019 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7TH Ave., Rock Island, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.

He was born February 16, 1961 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, a son of Willie Sr. and Erma Keys Jones.

Bo was an avid baseball and football fan. He enjoyed re-purposing items and handcrafting jewelry. He loved to cook, especially BBQ. His favorite times were those spent with family and friends.

Surviving are his special friend, Betty Kisner, Matherville; son, James (Staci) Springsteen, Taylor Ridge, Ill.; grandchildren, Brendon, Avory and Liam Springsteen; siblings, Sarah Jones, Killeen, Texas, Willie Jones Jr., Rock Island, Abraham Jones, Vancouver, Can. and Erma Jones-Bell, Chicago, Ill.; and a host of nieces, nephews; cousin, Kary Jones, and additioinal cousins and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, MaryAnn Jones-Hall.
