Barbara Aljunia (Perryman) Jones

Barbara A. Jones, 95, of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Rock Island, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at home. Cremation rites were accorded. Services will be Tuesday at Noon at Second
Baptist Church, Rock Island.  Visitation will be an hour prior at the church.  Inurnment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Barbara was born in Orrville, Alabama on June 10, 1923, a daughter of Prince A. and Mary J. Collins Perryman.  She married Matthew W. Jones on June 30, 1961 in Rock Island.  He preceded her in death on December 31, 2010.

Barbara worked as a Mental Health Technician for the former East Moline State Hospital.  She attended Rock Island Public Schools.

Barbara enjoyed shopping, sewing, crocheting, watching her Cubbies and Bulls and more shopping.

(Tony Sr.) Taylor, Mt. Vernon, IL; Godsons, Kevin (Raven) Shelton, Texas and Andre Johnson, special children, Terry M.A. Brooks, Rock Island, Ethel D. Lomas, Prichard, AL, Izetta F. Woodard, Moline, and Twyla and Daphne Perkins,
 a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, several siblings and grandsons, Tony
and Teon Taylor.
