Dear Eagle Family,
I’m shocked and sadden when I saw Charles’ obituary in today’s newspaper. I knew him briefly when he took my Biology 105 class at Black Hawk College last fall. He withdrew not too long after class started, but during that short period of time I was impressed by how bright he was. He was earning the highest grade in class. As an ISU alumnus myself, I joked with him how I liked it when he came to class in ISU shirts. When I raised a difficult question in class, I often asked him to answer as I knew he got it. I want to share this with you to let you know that what a strong, great impression he has on people.
I’m in such shock and disbelief that he passed away so young, as his bright future waiting ahead. Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolence.
