Eddie Joe Brown, of Seminole, Oklahoma formerly of Milan, Illinois, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his residence in Seminole at the age of 61.
Inurnment, with military honors presented by Milan American Legion Post 569, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at Andalusia Cemetery, Andalusia, Ill.
Eddie Joe was son of the late Edward and Joyce Brown of Milan, Illinois.
He is survived by his former wife, Shirley Miller of Wewoka, Oklahoma; daughter, Rebecca Parker and spouse Chris of Seminole, Oklahoma; son, Craig Brown and Dana of Wewoka, Oklahoma; one additional son; grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters and spouses, Deborah and Rodger Buckwalter of Illinois, Connie and David Helfrich of Iowa and brother, Tom and Diane of Illinois and lots of nieces and nephews.
Eddie Joe (well known as Joe in earlier years) grew up in Milan, Illinois. He was a graduate of Rockridge High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1983-1992 as a tanker with the 1st. Armored Military Brigade. He was trained out of Fort Knox, Ky. and later transferred to Fort Riley, KS and then onto Boeb-Lingen Germany and finished in Fort Irwin, CA. He was employed at Blue Wave Boats in Seminole, OK.
