Ellen "Ellie" M. (Klak) Unley-Davis

                Ellen “Ellie” M. Unley-Davis, 72, of Rock Island, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at her residence.

                Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Moline.  Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. 

                Ellie was born on August 8, 1946 in Rock Island, the daughter of Daniel and Rose (Pike) Klak.  She married Frank Unley in 1968, and later separated.  Ellie was an owner/operator of Van Epps Insurance Co., for 31 years, after retirement she was the bookkeeper and overseer of Unley Marine, Rock Island.  She loved partaking in fundraisers, especially for St. Jude’s.  Ellie enjoyed swimming, traveling, boating, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. 

                Ellie is survived by her son, Tom (Mindy) Unley; grandson, Ashton Unley; mother, Rose Klak; siblings, Michael (Deb) Klak, Diana (Bernard) Barrett; and Deborah (Mark) Burton.  She was preceded in death by her father and two husbands. 

                The family would like to give a special thank you to Cindy and Charlotte for always being there and to the always faithful Dr. Stewart Garneau and his compassionate staff for always providing loving care for Ellie.
