Greg N. Engesser

Greg N. Engesser, 64, of East Moline, passed away Friday March 15, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

A gathering to celebrate Greg’s life will be held from 11:00am to 5:00pm Monday March 18, 2019 at the Rock Island Elks Lodge 980, 2117 4th Avenue, Rock Island, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left for the family.

Greg was born on January 29, 1955 in Rock Island, the son of Delmer and Evelyn (Elgin) Engesser. He married Margaret Brown and have been together for 38 years.

Mr. Engesser had been employed at local gas stations as a clerk.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandkids.  Greg was also a avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret; children, Nancy Jo Parr, Evelyn (Eli) Engesser, Tonya Engesser, Cindy Engesser, Wendy Engesser, Amy (Derek) Engesser; grandchildren, Teya, Keavon, Kayla, Tyler, Maranda, Dominic, Tristan, Liam, Daniel, Aylla, Leigha, Austin, Aiden, Alex, Elijah and Kevin; siblings, Sharon McFall, Roanoke, Va., Wayne (Jacklyn) Engesser Sr., East Moline; sister in law, Cheryl Engesser, Matherville; lifelong friend, Brad Holcomb; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmer and Evelyn; granddaughter, Trina; brothers, Larry Engesser, Delmer Engesser, Danny Engesser; sister, Marie McFall; brothers in law, Dan McFall and Jerry McFall.

The family would like to give a special Thanks to the Unity Point Hospice nurse Elizabeth, who took such good care of him this past year.
