Gus loved and cared for my kids as if they were his own while we lived next door. If I needed anything, he was there. He loved talking to all the neighbors and visitors that would come around. He got to know my family well. He loved to put up Christmas lights outside for the neighborhood. Watched my son while I mowed. My dog got out of her kennel in the rain and went to his front porch, while lightning and down-pouring he knocked on my door with my dog next to him to bring her home. I remember him riding a bike with us only about 7 years ago. He took care of his grandkids at a moments notice and had them come visit often. Gus will be missed. My condolences to Pat and the rest of the family during this time.

Gus was a good friend for many years. Loved him like a brother. His humor will sure be missed.

We always enjoyed seeing Gus when he would come in to our office. Gus brightened our days and we sure loved visiting with him & Pat when they were in. The last time Gus was in he told me he liked coming into our office, because he felt like we were a family to him. May Gus rest in peace and our thoughts and prayers are with Pat and the rest of the family. We will miss your smile Gus!
