Kyle T. DeCoster, 34, of Milan, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, following a motorcycle accident. A memorial mass for Kyle will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Following services, there will be a luncheon at St. Ambrose, and a further celebration of Kyle’s life will be held at Kavanaugh’s Hilltop Bar and Grill on Saturday evening starting at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the Scarlett Rose DeCoster Benefit or to Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donation Network.
Kyle was born on August 26, 1984, in Rock Island, the son of Thomas DeCoster and Dorothy (Harper) Soppeland. He attended Rock Island High School and Black Hawk College. He worked for the past several years in Food Service, most recently as the restaurant manager at Hilltop Bar and Grill in Rock Island.
Kyle was an outgoing person who loved spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed playing video games, driving his Mustang, and watching basketball, especially the Chicago Bulls.
Those left to cherish Kyle’s memory are his daughter, Scarlett and fiancée, Cari Hamilton, his parents, his sister Emily and nephew Jax, his grandmother Mary Rose DeCoster, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
