Loretta L. (Rhodes) Tobias

                Loretta L. Tobias, 80, of Milan, left this world surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 to spend eternity with our Lord in Heaven.

                Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan or to the American Cancer Society.

                Loretta was born on March 14, 1938 in Cooperstown, ND, the daughter of Alonzo and Dorothy (Johnson) Rhodes.  She married Ralph Tobias in 1957 in Rock Island.  She worked as a secretary for the Great Metropolitan Housing Authority of Rock Island County for 17 years before her retirement.  Loretta enjoyed gardening and flowers.  She loved animals of all kinds, caring for any and all that came around her house.  Loretta cherished her family and the time they spent together, will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

                Loretta is survived by her children, Kim Bowser, Chris (Joyce) Tobias, Tony (Jane) Tobias, and Terry Tobias; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and 2 sisters, Maxine and Myrna.
