Myron D. Williams, 82, of Milan, passed away Sunday July 16, 2017 at his home.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

Myron was born on December 1, 1934 in Webster City, IA, the son of Sheldon and Lavina (Ryan) Williams. He married Norva Shirkey on April 18, 1964 in Rock Island.

Mr. Williams had been employed as a supervisor at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline for 26 years. He later worked as a consultant at Sears Manufacturing, Davenport for 15 years.

Myron graduated from Story City High School, Story City, IA. After graduation, Myron joined the United States Army serving with a tank division in Germany.

He was a member and past Commander of the Reynolds American Legion Post 1166. Myron loved fishing, hunting, taking their children and grandchildren to the cabin in Minnesota, teaching his grandchildren to ski, tube, fish and the turtle races in Longville, MN.

Survivors include his wife, Norva; daughters, Laurie (Richard) Aney, Blue Grass, Clarissa Kay (Timothy) Hendley, Milan, Shelly (Brian) Patrick, Sylacuga, AL; son, Russell (Carri) Williams, Rock Island; grandchildren, Christina, Jessica and Matthew Aney, Kira and Tyler Hendley, Derek (Stephanie) Patrick, Kali Patrick, Ella Williams and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, uncles and aunt.
