Paul E Sanders, 54, of Milan, went to join the arms of his Lord on January 8, 2019, at home. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday, January 11, 2019 at The Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Avenue, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
Paul was born February 23, 1964 in Charleston SC. He spent his early childhood in England and Scotland with his family before returning to the USA. Paul started working at an early age at his family's metal polishing shop. He was a very hard worker all his life. Paul worked at his handyman business for over 15 years, donating his time to those he found had need but could not afford the services. In 2013 his lifetime passion for semi-trucks became a reality and he started Sanders Transportation, of which he was so proud and rightly so.
In 1984 Paul met and married his soulmate, Sonya Hunt and they married in 2002. Although divorced in 2014, Paul and Sonya remained very close friends who spoke every day. Paul always said true love never dies.
Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He was an avid Packers fan. Paul had three dogs whom he visited with often as possible. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was a movie buff and enjoyed finding new ones to add to his collection. He had a huge heart, a wicked sense of humor, and will be missed by his friends and family
Paul is survived by his mother, Deanne Sanders; brothers; Ralph Sanders Jr ( Cassie ) and Raymond Sanders; daughters, Ashley ( Allen ) Frahm, Kayla Hunt ( Cj ), Rachael (Aaron) DeBates; niece, Rebecca Sanders; nephew, Paul Sanders . He had 9 grandchildren whom he adored and loved very much Isaac, Issabella, Jacob, and AJ Frahm, Allen Little, Sonya and Jasmine Buckley, Caleb Skinner, and Andrew Brandmeyer,
he was preceded to heaven by his grandparents Anna and Paul Glaudel, Stanley and Thelma sanders, uncles Paul Glaudel jr and Stanley Sanders jr, an aunt Carole Canders and fathers Ralph Sanders and James Hunt.
