Regina M. (Williams) Donaway

Regina M. Donaway, 70, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday March 11, 2018 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Regina was born on December 8, 1947 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of George and Louise (Dyer) Williams. She married Ernest “Don” Donaway.

Mrs. Donaway had been employed with Trinity Medical Center for over 40 years, until her retirement in 2013.

She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church, Rock Island. Regina loved spending time with her family, watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears, Nascar, making Longaberger baskets, traveling, collecting Isabel Blooms and watching the television show NCIS.

Survivors include her husband, Don; children, Brian (Jamie) Donaway, Bettendorf, Matthew Donaway, Moline, Eric Donaway, Davenport, Heather (Don) Greiner, Davenport, Tina (Bobby) Hantz, Rockford; grandchildren, Noah, Amelia (expected next month), Johnny, Lee, Ben, Doniel, Ashley and Shane; sister, Claire (Phillip) Ekstrom, Moline.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Cheryl Bobb and niece, Renae.
