Robert G. Ineichen

Robert G. Ineichen, 65, of Blue Grass, Iowa, died Friday, November 2, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.  Services will be 10 am Tuesday at The Refuge Church located at The First Church of the Nazarene, 2921 38th Street.  Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 pm at the church.  Burial will be 1 pm Tuesday at the Blue Grass Cemetery, Iowa.  Memorials may be made in care of the building fund at The Refuge Church.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family.

Robert was born in Davenport on September 4, 1953, a son of Robert L. and Rita Mickelwright Ineichen.  He married Rebecca Heuer on November 3, 1973 in Davenport.

Robert worked for Nestle Purina, Davenport, for 21 years.  He later started Ineichen Tomatoes and started growing hydroponic vegetables for 32 years, retiring in 2015.

Robert was a faithful pillar of The Refuge Church.

Robert enjoyed fishing, especially in Minnesota and Canada.  He loved the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rebecca Ineichen, Blue Grass; children (and spouses), Courtney (Josh) Medina, Rock Island, Christy (Steve) Doland, Newton, Iowa, Carrie (Larry) Wall, Moline and Craig (Micah) Ineichen, Muscatine; grandchildren, Quinton and Reagan Medina, Brayden, Trevan, Dawson and Cailyn Doland, Emily, Calvin and Cranston Wall and Colton and Falyn Ineichen; honorary grandchildren, Jonathan and Sophia Brown; and siblings, Lynne (Greg) Brown, Charles (Williadean) Ineichen, Gerald Ineichen, John (Lisa) Ineichen, Denise (Robert) Hicks, Mary Ineichen, Joe (Jodi) Ineichen, Michele (Dennis) Layman and Paul Ineichen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Thresa Ineichen.
