Rodger Davis Obituary

                Rodger D. Davis, 72, of Milan, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at his home. 

                Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the family.

                Rodger was born on January 19, 1947 in Grafton, IL, the son of Harold and Dorris (Talbert) Davis.  He married Brenda Pack in Peoria, IL and have been married for 43 years.  Rodger retired from Case IH as a painter/welder after 30 years, and also drove semi-tractor trailers.  He was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army.  One of his proudest moments was being able to help deliver wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery, during Wreaths Across America.  He was an avid race car driver, motorcycle rider, and enjoyed working on engines and vintage cars.  Rodger loved spending time with his friends and family.

                Rodger is survived by his wife, Brenda Davis; children, Tracey (Scott) LaMarsh, Rodger D. Davis II, Courtney Davis, Kevin (Sue) Sampson, and Jody (Leslie) Sampson; grandchildren, Nichole LaMarsh, Travis Harned, Cody LaMarsh, Raegan Bloyer, Jocee Bloyer, Brenden Foutch, Abbey Sampson, and Caden Sampson; great grandchildren, Aleyna, Lilly, Trinity, Coletin, Kinzi, Stormy, and Gordon; and brother, James (Nancy) Davis.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Paula Davis; and brother, Jeff Davis.
