Sherri Stowe Obituary

Sherri Evins Stowe, 57, of Matherville, passed away Thursday January 9, 2020 at home.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, with visitation one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at Andalusia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Beacon of Hope Hospice.

Sherri was born June 27, 1962 of Burbank, Calif., a daughter of Jerold Evins and Jo Ann Clark Evins. She graduated from Rockridge High School, Class of 1980. She married George D. Stowe on May 2, 2005 in Rock Island.

She was employed with All-Steel/HON Company for 16 years. Some of her favorite times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her son, Cody D. Evins, Muscatine; grandchildren, Gavin D. Evins, Logan J. Evins and Emilia Stowe; husband, George Stowe, of Andalusia; stepdaughter, Barbara K. Stowe, Davenport; stepson, Jeremy Stowe and family, Maquoketa; mother, Jo Ann Evins, Matherville; siblings, Brian (Nanette) Evins, Preemption, Ill., Clayton Evins, Aledo, Ill., Kathy Walker, Matherville, Ill. and Jody Vanderham, Matherville; and many nieces, nephews and other family.

Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Jerold Evins; sister, Gerry Massey; and nephew, Ryan Evins.
