Shirley M. Guyton

Shirley M. Guyton, 68, of Davenport, IA, passed away Monday April 17, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.

 Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22nd, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, where visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m Saturday. Inurnment will be at a later date.

 Shirley was born January 5, 1949 in Coupland, Texas, a daughter of A.J., Sr. and Ida (Guyton) Deary.

 She was a homemaker and worked in home health care. Shirley loved her family and will be lovingly remembered as a friend to all and accepting of everyone.  She loved to cook, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.

Shirley is survived by her children (and spouses), Mattie Deary, Taylor, TX, Jimmy (Chardonnay) Deary, Dallas, TX, James "Ray" (Monique) Guyton, Davenport, IA, and Monica "Kay" (Samuel) Guyton, Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Shakira Deary, Jimmy Wayne Deary, Tremaine Deary, Christan Deary, Brittney Deary, Tiffany Deary, Justin Deary, Jordan Deary, Lyndon Deary, December Jackson, Yvette Jackson, William Jackson, JaKaea Anderson, E.J. Anderson, Aaron McGinnis, Lanaia Miller, Gyiana Guyton, Kollonte Guyton and Samuel Guyton; a host of great grandchildren; sisters, Johnnie (John) Guy, Mary Alice Wyatt, Ida (Donald) Brandyburg, Betty (Rufus) Jackson, Willie (Harold) Taylor, Bessie (Dale) Easter  and Patricia (Wendell) Jones, all of Texas; brothers, Early (Christy) Deary, Albert Deary, Pete (Debra) Deary, all of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, A.J., Sr. and Ida Deary; daughter, Brenda Guyton; grandson, DaJion Guyton; granddaughters, Cavettea Jackson and  Rayani Anderson, great grandson, James Howard, Jr.; and brother, A.J. Deary, Jr., and nephew, Kelley Jones.
