Shirley A. (Groves) Randall

               Shirley A. Randall, 92, of Rock Island, formerly of Moline, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Friendship Manor.

               Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island or the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.

               Shirley was born on January 13, 1926 in Moline, the daughter of Ray and Ann Groves.  She married Harry “Bud” Randall on September 13, 1946 in 1946, he preceded her in death in 2010.

               Shirley retired from the Cleveland Agency in 1986.  She previously worked for Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 25 and IBEW Local 145.  Shirley was a 62 year member and deacon of South Park Presbyterian Church.  She formerly belonged to the Circle of Faith and Stern Wheelers.

               She graduated from UTHS in 1943.  She enjoyed reading, music and playing bridge. 

               Shirley is survived by her daughter Cindy Randall; grandchildren, Anna (Ted) DeMeulenaere and Amber Inskeep; great grandchildren, Callie and Macy DeMeulenaere; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 2 sisters; 1 brother and a niece and nephew.
