Vera Poe

Vera Poe, 70, of East Moline, passed away Tuesday December 11, 2018 at home.

Memorial services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, with visitation one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Vera was born August 22, 1948 in Rock Island. One of six children born to Zaro and Ruth Payne Poe. She graduated from Rock Island High School, Class of 1966.

In addition to being a homemaker, Vera worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for eight years. She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and aunt.

She loved people and spending time with family and friends, especially time with her grandson, Todd Jr., and daughter-in-law, Monica.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Todd Sr. and Monica Poe, Rock Island; grandsons, Corey Prince, Lexington, KY and Todd Poe Jr., Rock Island; sisters and brothers, Sharon Penn, Indianapolis, IN, Zaro Poe Jr., Indianapolis, IN, Delmer Poe, Fresno, CA, VonCille (Robert Sr.) Colvin, Rock Island, and Darrell Poe; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents.
