Danette Richele Stone was granted her Tinkerbell wings on February 17, 2018.  She was born in Moline on October 8, 1963, to Barbara Jo and Larry James Stone.  She was a 1981 graduate of Sherrard High School, 1983 graduate of CeleWhan beauty academy, and she also worked as a CNA for Oak Glen Nursing Home.

We learned many valuable lessons from Danette during her 54 years, among them: listen to music with the volume as loud as it will go, laugh wholeheartedly, see the good in everyone you meet, and love all animals that God created, except snakes. She was an avid fan of Marilyn Monroe.

Those who have taken her lessons to heart will continue to ensure that a sweet tea will be shared on the deck with family, every baby's cheek will be tweaked, every stray animal will have a home, and family/friends will always come first.

She is survived by her dad; Larry Stone; children and grandchildren whose photos she would proudly share with everyone: Austin Stone; Adam Birdsall (fiancee Sara, children Avionna, Ezekiel, Eric, and her unborn grandson, Adaar); sibling Tammy Crippen (Andy, nieces Chelsey, Claire and nephew Corbin); special cousins; Sherri Hand, Tyrina Montgomery; many honorary nieces, nephews, special aunts, wonderful friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten or appreciated.

Danette is reunited with her mom, Barbara; grandmother Fannie; aunts Louise and Doris and special people; Timothy Lay, Dakota Birdsall, LeLand DeBord, Tommy and Maria Grumadas.

Please join the family in saying farewell and celebrating her life.  Visitation is planned for Friday, February 23, 2018, from 4-6 p.m. at Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 4th Ave E., Milan with the funeral service beginning at 6 p.m.
