Jill Lynn Nyquist, 68, of Rock Island, formerly of Davenport, passed away Sunday December 7, 2025 at Generations at Rock Island.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jill was born on October 9, 1957 in Moline, the daughter of George Nyquist and Barbara Kingdon.

She had been employed as a dog groomer for 47 years with Mari Brook Grooming Salon.

Jill had a deep faith in God, was an excellent painter and loved all animals especially her horse, dogs, cats and birds.

Survivors include her father, George Nyquist; devoted friend and step mother, Judy Nyquist; siblings, Jodi Esbaum, Dale Nyquist and Dwight (Tina) Nyquist; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews and close friend, Dan Glazebrook, former owner of Mari-Brook.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara (Kingdon) Nyquist and her brother, Danny Nyquist.
