Rosa L. Steinbaugh, 84, of Rock Island, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2024, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island, with the Recitation of the Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.

Rosa was born January 3, 1940, in Italy, a daughter of Giuseppe and Giulia (D'Alessandro) Conicella. She graduated from Alleman High School. Rosa married Arthur R. Steinbaugh on May 5, 1962, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2005.

Rosa owned and operated D'Alessandro Pasta to Go for several years. She previously worked at Seaford Clothing Company where she was a supervisor. Rosa was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rock Island where she belonged to the Altar Society. She was also a member of the Quad City Society of Italian Americans.

Rosa enjoyed entertaining, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Julie Steinbaugh, Illinois City; daughter, Maria Steinbaugh, Rock Island; granddaughter, Nicole Steinbaugh; sister, Angie (Joseph) Conicella; and several nieces and nephews.

Rosa was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; son, Karl; grandson, William Burk; and sister, Lisa Carlton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island in Rosa's memory.
