Obituary
A. Paul Rowland, 58 of Rock Island, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be 10 am to service time Thursday at the church. Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be presented by Moline American Legion Post 246.
Antony Paul Rowland was born May 5, 1957 in Cornwall, England, the son of Monica Elizabeth Sjoholm and George Rowland. He immigrated to the United States as a small child. He worked as a subcontractor repairing and renewing apartment buildings.
Paul was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his mother, Monica Elizabeth Sjoholm, Rock Island; father, George Rowland; and his daughter, Brittany Lee, Boca Raton, Fla.
