A.J. "Arnold Joseph" Weber, 62, of Taylor Ridge, died Friday, April 17, 2015 at home after a 16 month battle with esophageal cancer. Funeral services will be 11:30 am Tuesday at Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 13228 140th St. W., Taylor Ridge, IL. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Burial will be at Edgington Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Edgington Cemetery or the Andalusia Volunteer Ambulance.
A.J. was born to Ralph and Irene Bagby Weber on February 1, 1953 in Independence, Iowa. He married Teresa Fuhr on May 10, 1986 in Edgington. He graduated from Blackhawk College and worked at MidAmerican Energy and John Deere Parts Distribution, retiring in 2008.
A.J. graduated from St. John's High School in Independence, Iowa. He was a veteran who served during Vietnam aboard the USS Juneau. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his nieces and nephews and was active in their lives. He attended Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Weber, Taylor Ridge; father and mother-in-law, Virgil and Maxine Fuhr, Taylor Ridge; brothers, R.J. (Dorothy) Weber, Independence, Iowa, EJ (Kathy) Weber, Cottage Grove, Minn.; brothers-in-law, Jeff (Kathy) Fuhr, Illinois City, John (Pam) Fuhr, Taylor Ridge and Paul (Annette) Fuhr, Flower Mound, Texas; and nieces and nephews, Josh and Jake Fuhr, both of Illinois City, Audra Garcia, Muscatine, Kayla Fuhr, Andalusia, Lauren Fuhr, Madrid, Spain, Clark and Dean Weber, both of Cedar Rapids, and Katie Oldenburg and Michelle and Jennifer Weber, all of Cottage, Grove, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Shirley Walsh and Alberta Martin.
