Albert A. Cederstrom, 84, of Sherrard, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025, at Swedona Lutheran Church, 1493 Knoxville Road, Lynn Center, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan, Illinois. Burial will be in Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Swedona Lutheran Church or the Sherrard Fire Department.

Albert was born on August 22, 1941, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Albert M. and Madelene J. (DeKeyrel) Cederstrom. He graduated from Sherrard High School, where he was an active member of the FFA. On November 18, 1961, Albert married the love of his life, Twila L. Larson, in Milan, Illinois. Together they shared 63 wonderful years.

A lifelong farmer, Albert found joy and purpose in working the land. He worked alongside his parents on their dairy farm and drove a truck hauling milk. Later on, he drove a semi for several years while he continued farming with his son and grandsons until his death.

Deeply devoted to his community, Albert served as a volunteer firefighter with the Sherrard Fire Department for more than 30 years, including 13 years as fire chief. Albert had a great love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and family vacations at the Silver Lake State Park Sand Dunes. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were his greatest joy.

Those left to honor Albert's memory include his wife, Twila; children, Tammy Warner (Tim Brodt), Tracy (Rob) Wyant, Jill (John) Wilson, and Chad (Leah) Cederstrom; grandchildren, Colton, Abbey, Casey, Arron, Alex, Kristin, Jake, Lily, and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Sienna, Kayson, Wesley, Bennett, William, Nick, Rae, Carson, Olivia, Leo, Lane, Maddy, Cooper, and one expected soon; sister, Kris (Lee) Nice; and late brother, Larry Cederstrom.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Sara Wyant.

Albert proudly chose to be an organ donor, following the example of his late granddaughter, Sara.
