Algie E. "Evelyn" Rountree, 91, of Rock Island, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Rock Island Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Private graveside services for Evelyn will in the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan, is assisting the family.

Evelyn was born on July 11, 1924 in Spruce Pine, Alabama. She married Samuel C. Rountree in 1946. Evelyn was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Workheiser, Milan; a brother, Wallace Chance, Milan; and a sister, Ruby Nell Williams, Huntsville, Alabama.
