Alice was born January 16, 1953, in Water Valley, Mississippi, to William and Amanda (Ragland) Crawford. She graduated from East High School in Waterloo, earned a bachelor's degree from Luther College, and earned a master's degree from New Mexico University. Alice's professional journey led her to a respected career at the John Deere Parts Distribution Center. She retired in May 2018 after 39 years of service.
Alice married Dave L. Elliott in 1980. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2020. As a mother, Alice's love for her daughters, Ashley and Allyson, knew no bounds. She relished her social gatherings, especially lunches with friends that were filled with laughter and companionship. Alice was a member of The Quad Cities Chapter of The Links, Incorporated; where she served as the Treasurer for 4 years, the Financial Secretary for over 10 years; she was a committee member for The Arts and International Trends and Services. Her spiritual life was also of great importance to her. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Rock Island, and she found solace and strength in attending BSF Bible study.
Alice will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the light she brought into our lives. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Ashley Elliott, Davenport, and Allyson Elliott, Macomb, Michigan; brother, Robert (Roxanne) Crawford; and a host of extended family.
