Alice L. Schmitt, 14, of Davenport, died Thursday, Apr. 10, 2014 at her home. Always giving, Alice was an organ donor providing sight and life to others.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Burial will be later at Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Alice Lynn Schmitt was born July 26, 1999 in Davenport, the daughter of Sherrie Schmitt. She was a freshman at Davenport West High School.

She attended and was baptized at Heritage Church's QC West Campus in Blue Grass, where she was active in the QC West Youth Ministry Statik. Alice attended several church camps and was a member of the West End Alano Club.

Alice was a loving person with a heart of gold and a dimple in her chin. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed music, photography and art. Alice will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Sherrie, Davenport; special guardian aunt, Rosie Fields, Davenport; great-grandmother, Virginia Fields, Davenport; Godmother, Jan Kloss, Davenport; and several other loving family members and many friends.
