Allen R. Parker, 55, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Rock Island Nursing and Rehab., Rock Island.
Services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to The Refuge Church or to the family.
Allen was born August 23, 1959 in Moline, a son of Curlee, Sr. and Allie B. Wheeler Parker. He graduated from United Township High School. Allen liked, playing cards, dominoes and fishing.
Surviving are his son, Allen Parker, Jr., and his wife Elizabeth, of Rock Island; grandchildren, Aliyah and Everett Parker; sisters, Jerline Harris, Macomb, MI, Pearline Morrow, Rock Island, Bertha Parker, Moline, Kathleen (William) Hendley, Chicago, Brenda Parker and Gloria Parker, both of Denver, CO; brothers, Curlee Parker, Jr., and Sylvester (Kornelia) Parker, all of Rock Island; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Allen was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brother, Irving G. Parker.
