Alphonso L. Puckett, 16, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday September 6, 2022 in Davenport.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th avenue, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the family.

Alphonso was born on February 7, 2006 in Moline, the son of Casvonte Hickman and Precious Puckett.

He was a Junior at Rock Island High School, where he was active in football, wrestling and track.

Alphonso also enjoyed being attentive to his school studies, listening to music, cooking, playing football with his siblings and video games.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Casvonte Hickman and Precious Puckett; paternal grandparents, Karlton Hickman and Trina Smith; maternal grandparents, Ledale Puckett and Lenora Dunbar; great grandmother, Willie Nance; siblings, Cortyia Ralston, Steven Macon, Wyett Puckett, Araironeh Guy, Jaiden Hickman, Nalani Kahl, Molli Hickman, Cali Hickman, Alyra Hickman, aunts and uncles, Kaliyah Woods, Chandra Woods, Jaquoia Lindsey, Jayshawn Puckett, Ray Quan Puckett, Lavail Dunbar; great aunt, Gloria Shears; great uncle, Rev. Alphonso Barnum and a large extended family.
