Obituary
Alvena "Weenie" Lopez, 89, of Davenport, formerly of E. Des Moines., passed away Saturday November 25, 2017 at Good Samaritan Home, Davenport.
Arrangements are pending at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Inurnment of her ashes will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.
Alvena was born on December 16, 1927 in Rock Island, the daughter of Porcopio and Marie (Winager) Lopez.
She had been employed several years with the Des Moines Public School District before retiring in 1991.
Survivors include her sisters, Wanda Saldivar, Davenport and Linda DeVoss, Rock Island; several nieces and nephews.
