Amanda "Mandie" Bales-Eckstein (Lindsey), 38, of Rock Island passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, with visitation to be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Amanda was born on March 31, 1986 in Rock Island, a daughter of Randy Eckstein and Candy Mulica. She graduated from Riverside Christian School. Amanda worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant for many healthcare facilities within the Quad Cities over the years.

Amanda's hobbies included reading, crocheting and cross-stitching. She was an animal lover and had a special place within her heart for cats. Her greatest joy came from raising her daughter, Carolyn. Amanda was a member of the Andalusia Community Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish Amanda's memory include her fiancé, Andrew Smith; daughter, Carolyn Eckstein; parents, Candy (Richard) Barrell and Randy (Shawna) Eckstein; siblings, Dana Coers, Nicole Lacey, Jadyn Rutter, Jacob Kirby, Jeremiah Kirby and Luke Eckstein; and several aunts and uncles.

Amanda was preceded in death by her brother, Justin Bales and grandparents, Richard and Carolyn Mulica, Larry and Liz Eckstein and Mary Lake.
