Amelia M. Segura-Neff, 89, of Rock Island, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at her home. Services for Amelia will be 10 am, Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm, Friday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Island. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital or to St. Mary Catholic Church, Rock Island.

Amelia was born on August 19, 1926 in West Des Moines, Iowa, a daughter of Jack and Mary Lopez Segura. Amelia married George Herdt, and later married Robert Neff. She worked as a machinist at the International Harvester, Farmall Works, Rock Island before retiring in 1982.

Amelia was a member St. Mary Catholic Church, Rock Island, UAW Local 1309, Rock Island, and the Alter and Rosary Society of the church. She enjoyed playing BINGO and being outdoors.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary (David) Garrison, Rock Island and Cynthia Pedersen, Taylor Ridge; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and a brother, Raymond "Babe" Segura, Kentucky.

Amelia was preceded in death by her parents; son in law, Jerry R. Pedersen; sisters, Leona Flores, Margaret Reyes, Lucy Simmons, Lela Flores; brothers, Sam Segura, Daniel Segura, Albert Segura, Manuel Segura, and Rudolph Segura.
