Andree R. Dickinson, 89, of Rock Island, passed away Monday October 3, 2016 at Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Following services a private inurnment will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Boys Town.

Andree was born on January 18, 1927 in Montereau, France, a daughter of Roland and Jeanne Creete Bousseronde. She was previously married to Edward Stokes. She later married Glen Dickinson on June 22, 1975 in Rock Island.

In addition to being a homemaker, Andree had worked at Moline Public Hospital and volunteered at the Emergency Pregnancy Center. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. In earlier years, she taught CCD classes and enjoyed singing with the choir. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, camping, and vacationing in Texas with her husband.

Surviving are her husband, Glen, of Rock Island; children (and spouses), William Stokes, Rock Island, Larry Stokes, Cordova, IL, Kathy (David) Rice, Rock Island, Kenneth (Linda) Stokes, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Doreen Leahy, Rockford, IL; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Andree was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Michelle Chaumeil; and one brother, Bernard Bousseronde.
