IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Andrew C.
Eckert
January 4, 1990 – September 9, 2025
Andrew C. Eckert, aged 35, of Milan, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2025. A devoted son, a passionate sports enthusiast, and a loving caregiver, Andrew's life was marked by his unwavering spirit and kind heart. Born on January 4, 1990, in Rock Island, Illinois, Andrew was the cherished son of Timothy T. and Georgerine K. Ebert Eckert. He graduated from Rock Island High School, where he developed a profound love for sports, particularly for his favorite teams: the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and occasionally the Blackhawks. Andrew took great joy in reading the sports section of the daily newspaper, always eager to stay connected with his beloved teams. Andrew dedicated a significant part of his life to his work at The ARC of the Quad Cities, where he made a positive impact on the community. His compassion extended beyond his professional life; he was also a devoted cat lover, caring for his four feline friends with great pride and tenderness. Andrew is survived by his beloved father, Timothy Eckert, of Milan; his sister, Jennifer Eckert; and his uncles, Brion, Kevin and Tracy Eckert. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, as well as his uncle, Randy Eckert, and his grandparents, Wilfred and Betty Eckert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held to honor Andrew's life and legacy on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 10 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island. Prior to the Mass, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 9 am to 10 am at the church. Following the service, Andrew will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorial contributions may be made in Andrew's name to The ARC of the Quad Cities or SPEC, organizations that reflect his commitment to community and care for others. Online condolences, fond memories, and tributes to Andrew's life may be shared with the family at wheelanpressly.com.
