Obituary

Anna S. Beuselinck, 92, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial is at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, where a rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Anna Rutsaert was born Jan. 22, 1922 in Kewanee, Ill., a daughter of Gustaaf and Marie VanDeReverie Rutsaert. She married Albert C. Beuselinck on Oct. 15, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rock Island.

She had worked at Buddy L Toys, East Moline and Servus Rubber Co., Container Corp. of America, Grant Public School and Jordan Catholic School, all of Rock Island.

She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island and a longtime active member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rock Island, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Anna was also a member of the former Belgian American Brotherhood Auxiliary, Rock Island. Her life was devoted to her church and family.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Albert; children, Catherine (Roy) Plasschaert, Rock Island, Rosalie (Larry) Holgate, Milan, and Joseph (Debbie) Beuselinck, Rock Island; grandchildren, Kimberly Mydland, Jeffrey Plasschaert, Jennifer Cerra, Eric and Tanner Holgate, Ryan and Dustin Beuselinck, and Amber Daffen; five great-grandchildren; and twin sisters, Beatrice Miller, Moline and Bernice Bowden, Las Cruces, N.M. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Rutsaert.
