Anna B. Merritt, 86, of Milan, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. A live-streamed funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2021, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, and can be viewed online by visiting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6MtLeNMg2w. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Face masks and social distancing are required. Private burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the River Bend Food Bank.

Ann was born on August 28, 1934, in Albia, Iowa, a daughter of William and Clara Pearl (Gibbons) Davison. She married Jackie "Jack" D. Merritt on December 6, 1969, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2012. Ann retired from United Township High School as a cook. She was a long-time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline and also belonged to the Three Lakes Sportsman's Club. Above all, Ann enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish Ann's memory include her children, Patricia (Andy) Carlson, Cincinnati, Ohio, Theresa (Larry) Hepner, Moline, Michael (Debbie) Zemo, Moline, Mary (Jim) Johnson, Colona, Steve (Becky) Zemo, East Moline, Jack Merritt, Moline, and Terry Tucker, New Hampton, Iowa; 24 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents; sisters, Martha Anderson, Lila Neville, and Lorena Repp; and brothers, Orville Lee Mitchell and William Davison, Jr.
